Intelligence You Can Verify. A Partner You Can Trust.

Responsible Intelligence

Organizations rely on Owlin to identify and understand external risks in real time. We believe the same level of trust should apply to the technology behind our platform.

That’s why Responsible Intelligence at Owlin is built on three foundations: protecting your data, respecting your privacy, and developing AI that is transparent, explainable, and accountable.

Whether you’re completing a vendor risk assessment, evaluating our AI governance, or reviewing our security controls, our goal is the same: earning trust through evidence, not claims.

Built on three foundations

Information Security

ISO 27001:2022

Our Information Security Management System is independently certified to ISO 27001:2022 (including Amendment 2024). The framework governs how we protect customer data, manage risk, monitor security controls, and continuously improve our security practices.

Privacy & Data Protection

GDPR

Owlin operates in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process personal data lawfully, transparently, and only for legitimate purposes, while supporting the rights of data subjects across all applicable jurisdictions.

Responsible AI

Responsible Intelligence Framework

We believe AI should support professional judgement, not replace it. Our AI is built around evidence, explainability, transparency, and human oversight, ensuring customers understand why an insight was generated and remain in control of every decision.

Responsible AI

AI that helps you decide. Never decides for you.

Artificial intelligence enables Owlin to transform millions of news articles, regulatory publications, corporate disclosures, and other public information sources into real-time external risk intelligence. AI allows us to process information at a scale no human team could achieve, but intelligence is only valuable when it is transparent, explainable, and grounded in evidence.

Evidence before AI

Every insight produced by Owlin begins with evidence. Our platform continuously monitors millions of trusted public sources and uses AI to identify relevant events, connect information across sources, classify risk, and surface what matters most. Rather than generating conclusions in isolation, our AI always works from verifiable information that users can review themselves.

Explainable by design

Trust requires transparency. Alerts, Entity Scores, Event Timelines, and AI-generated summaries are designed to show not only what happened, but why it matters. Users can trace intelligence back to its supporting evidence, understand the reasoning behind risk signals, and follow how situations evolve over time.

Humans stay in control

Owlin supports professional judgement rather than replacing it. Our AI helps analysts investigate faster, prioritize emerging risks, and organize complex information, but customers remain responsible for every operational, commercial, or compliance decision. Owlin does not make autonomous decisions on behalf of its users and does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

Continuous improvement

Responsible AI requires continuous evaluation. We regularly assess model quality, improve multilingual understanding, reduce false positives, strengthen explainability, and refine our risk intelligence capabilities. As AI technology and regulation continue to evolve, including the EU AI Act, our governance practices will evolve alongside them.

Security & privacy

Protecting customer information is fundamental to the trust our customers place in Owlin.

Our security and privacy program is designed around internationally recognized standards and is continuously improved through risk assessments, internal controls, and independent certification.

Customer data is protected through technical and organizational security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. Personal data is processed only for legitimate purposes and retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil those purposes or comply with applicable legal obligations.

Individuals may exercise their privacy rights at any time by contacting [email protected].

Looking ahead, Owlin is also committed to a more sustainable future, our near-term emissions reduction targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
